I was reading Buzzfeed today and they had a list of most highlighted passages by Kindle users in the US. Spoiler Alert: 17 of the 21 are from the Hunger Games trilogy. Still, it was interesting to see which passages they liked and two of my favs from Pride and Prejudice also made the list. Here's number 1.

I'm so glad you asked. Nerd Approved posted a link to the video of his current workout for his Oliver Queen body. From the looks of it, he does a lot of his own stunt work, which makes him even cooler (and sexier). He trains at the Tempest Freerunning Academy and we thank them for helping him train. The only thing that would have made this more enjoyable would have been the lack of a shirt. Go, Stephen! We love your abs! So I was scrolling on Facenook today and discovered that TMZ had leaked set photos from Star Wars Episode VII. Check them out here! STAR WARS CASTING!
Okay so I grew up watching the original theatrical released of Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. I lived in a very progressive household where we could be fans of those movies as well as Trekkies. So I was super excited that Harrison Ford (one of my older man crushes) was returning along with Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill. I do realize that they are quite a bit older than when they were when they originally played Han Solo and Princess Leia but I don't care. They're gonna be in it! Then they announced the others, including two new additions today! So I have returned to blogging. I've set some goals for myself and I was letting exhaustion and stress push them aside. I did accomplish one of them. We moved to an apartment closer to work and it does make things easier for my sanity in regards to my commute. But that doesn't mean I should push the novel goal aside! Too many things are going on and I really need to be good about wiring down my thoughts on it all. So let's get down to business (to defeat the Huns..... Come on, you were all thinking it.)
Recently, in planning to move, my fianceé and I got Hulu. I was really pleased to find Season 2 of SMASH on it and I caught myself up. I was saddened that the show is over. I think it was really getting good, with the second musical and the competition between the two shows. This is my favorite song from the show, penned by one of my favorite musicians, Andrew Mc Mahon. I recommend listening to it.
It's been a little while, but I am still alive. Promise. Jared and I have been looking at apartments and in less than three weeks, we move into a charming little complex, which I have nicknamed Asgard. Currently, we're looking for a suitable welcome mat that would fit with the name of our new place. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know! I've found a fun looking rainbow one (for the rainbow bridge) but we also found a nice Celtic knot at Walmart of all places.
In addition to moving, I have set myself up for a workshop of sorts. I have a stack of writing resource books that has been on my shelves for a while. I would buy them and thumb through them, only to leave them on a shelf. Recently, I bought a new one, Wired for Story. Since I started it, I decided that I was going to go through the books that I have and read them through, taking notes and highlighting important points, so that I can get a draft written by the end of the year. Lofty goals for me. Write a novel. Move. Get married. Plan for the future. The thing is, I really have to hold myself accountable This makes me a happy fangirl. I am really looking forward to this movie. My lovely fiancee commented that he knows he's being dragged along opening day/weekend when it comes out. It also comes out right after my birthday, so happy belated birthday to me. This trailer goes into the whole Winter Soldier concept a little more and I think it does a great job of showcasing all the characters and possibly the type of dynamic we have to look forward to April 4th. Let me know what you think!
Disclaimer: I started this days ago but due to lack of sleep, I am just now finishing it. Sorry for the delay. I also had to curb my rage.
I am not totally sure where to begin. This morning, I was sent a link to an article about a Gambit movie. A potential Gambit movie. While this would make me the happiest little fangirl in the universe, it was who they were talking about as Gambit that brought me pause. A while ago, an interview with Channing Tatum revealed that he would love to play my favorite Cajun. I didn't pay much mind to it then. It was a one-off in an interview about White House Down. It didn't mean anything to me. Things have changed. So I remember in high school, there were quizzes in magazines to find out "Which 90210 character are you?" and "What's the color of your soul?". Lately, on Facebook, these quizzes have popped back up with some of my favorite television shows, movies and books. So far, I have uncovered the hidden truth that I am actually Howard from The Big Bang Theory, Snow from Once Upon a Time and Jon Snow from Game of Thrones. Those were from Zimbio. I also have discovered that I am cheese, I should live in Tokyo and that I should be in Hedwig and the Angry Itch (which, sadly, I have not seen), all from Buzzfeed.
Check them out for yourself and let your inner 90s kid out. Just don't be disappointed when you were hoping for Daenerys Targaryen and you end up with Joffrey. |
